Wacky Wacky Hair Day

Waianiwa School had a very Wacky Hair Day. It was all done for Westpac Rescue Helicopter. We are helping fundraise money so they can pay for the helicopter come and to save people's lives.
We came to school with terribly funny hairdos.

We came with lots of hair spray in different colours. Brayden even shaved his head in a checker board pattern.

Every child came also with a gold coin. With everyone's help we raised $106.

Cross Country

Boy, it was a long wait. Finally it was my turn to run. The horn beated and away I ran. I was running as fast as I could. Look I was in front but running out of energy. I was getting stitch but still had 1 lap to go.
Dig it in, you can do it I thought to myself. I could see the finish line. I had to sprint to pass other runners. Yeah! We had finally finished. I wonder who came 1st 2nd 3rd. I was so hot and red that I needed something cold to cool me down. My heart's still beating fast. We can go home now.

Remembering the war

We had to complete task's like War Ration pack's , Poppy facts, a present from home for a soldier and a memorial. The poppy's were presented in Assembly. They read the information to the whole school including Mr Muhl. Mr Muhl was very impressed with the information explained.
